Carlisle face a trip to Bermondsey on Tuesday evening having come away from there with little in previous meetings, a total of 15 defeats from 21 games played at the Den telling its own tale.
Last season in League One United pretty much blew their chances of automatic promotion by going down 3-0 at Millwall in the penultimate game of the regular campaign in front of 10,075 spectators. Danny Livesey adding to Carlisle's misery that day when he was sent off in the 56th minute for a professional foul on Neil Harris.
Millwall's biggest margin of victory over the Blues has three times come courtesy of that 3-0 scoreline including last season, the first victory taking place in 1961-62 in Division Four (attendance - 11,421) and the second happening in 1980-81 in the old Division Three (attendance - 3,168).
United's two meagre victories at the Den in 21 attempts have both coincided with promotion campaigns. The first being in 1973-74 when the Blues won 2-1 thanks to a goal from Bill Green and a Millwall own goal (attendance - 8,907), the Cumbrians eventually finishing third in Division Two as they were promoted to the top tier for the first, and only time, in their history.
The second win happened in the 1981-82 Division Three campaign, a season that would see the Blues finish runners-up to champions Burnley on goal difference after both sides had finished level at the top on 80 points each. United once more won 2-1 that December Saturday courtesy of a brace from Paul Bannon in front of a crowd of 4,740 spectators.

FootyMad's prediction ...
The Cumbrians are in poor form away from Brunton Park, and the FootyMad team are afraid to say this game can be passed over as a comfortable defeat against Millwall.... Home win
