The Blues welcome the Lions to Cumbria tomorrow hoping to improve an a record that has seen them defeat Millwall in 12 of the 21 games contested between the two sides at Brunton Park over the years.
Last season in League One Carlisle defeated the Bermondsey outfit 4-0 at home in early October 2007 in John Ward's first game as United boss. All the Carlisle goals, in front of 7,022 spectators, coming in a hectic opening period for the Blues thanks to Danny Graham (2), Joe Garner and Marc Bridge-Wilkinson.
United's biggest victory at home to Millwall over the years has two other times as well been by that 4-0 scoreline. Once in the 1969-70 Division Two campaign (goalscorers - Chris Balderstone, William Brown, Bob Hatton and a Lions own goal, attendance - 6,214). The second time being in the 1979-80 season in Division Three (goalscorers - Phil Bonnyman, Stephen Hollickin, Peter Beardsley and Steven Ludlam, attendance - 4,687).
Meanwhile the Lions, who have won five times in twenty attempts at Brunton Park, see their best margin of victory as being 2-0 when the sides first met in Cumbria in the old Fourth Division in 1958-59. The visitors grabbing both goals in the opening period in front of a healthy attendance of 7,725 fans.

Recent respective form guides
Carlisle will be hoping to improve on their dire home form, collecting just four draws from their last six contests at Brunton Park. While the Cumbrians have scored six goals in those matches, a worringly large 9 have been leaked at the other end.
Millwall in contrast are in excellent form on the road, the Lions picking up four victories from their last six games away from the New Den. A generous nine goals have been both scored and conceded during that run of matches.
Carlisle are stuck down in the League One relegation zone, in 21st, with a return of just 47 points from their 45 games played thus far. Millwall however are just outside the automatic promotion places, in fourth, having taken a bumper 82 points from their 45 games contested to date.
