The Blues pack their bags to visit Northampton on Saturday, looking to make it two wins in a row against their hosts at Sixfields. The Cumbrians have drawn nine of the other 14 contests, and have lost the remaining five.
The most recent encounter between the two sides was less than a year ago, in March 2006, as the Cumbrians ran out cosy 3-0 winners on their travels in a League Two promotion six-pointer. United's goals that day, in a win which set them well on the road to winning the title, coming from Karl Hawley, Michael Bridges and Danny Livesey as 7,045 fans looked on.
Carlisle's joint-biggest win over the Cobblers came in that match at Sixfields last season, the Blues also victorious by a three-goal margin at Brunton Park in the 1990-91 campaign as they won 4-1 with goals from Paul Proudlock, Keith Walwyn, Eric Gates and Simon Jeffels in front of 2,873 spectators.
