Striker Elias Sorensen has signed a one-year loan deal with Carlisle United from Premier League side Newcastle United.
Denmark Under-21 international Sorensen, 19, came through the youth ranks with HB Koge and became the club’s youngest-ever player when he made a substitute appearance against Silkeborg when he was 16.
A successful trial spell with Newcastle brought him over to England and, while playing for the Magpies' Under-23 side, he also had a brief loan spell with Blackpool in January, making one appearance.
"We’re delighted that we’ve got this over line," manager Steven Pressley said.
"He was a main target, then he dropped off the radar, but it came alive again last week and we’ve managed to see it through.
"He can play as the number 9, or he can play tucked in close to the 9 and just off to the side. That’s not as a wide player, but tucked in tight and ready to react.
"He’s very mobile and quick and he scores goals. He hasn’t done that at League Two level yet, but that’s his next challenge.
"I think he’s a player the fans can get excited about and we’re looking forward to working with him."
