O'Hanlon blow for Cumbrians
Carlisle will be without defender Sean O'Hanlon for their opening-day game against Leyton Orient, but Matty Robson is expected to shake off a back injury.
O'Hanlon has missed recent home friendlies with Burnley and Bolton due to a knee injury and will play no part, while the versatile Robson could return to contention.
Cumbrians boss Greg Abbott is likely to hand competitive debuts to summer signings David Amoo, released by Tranmere, Reece James, on loan from Manchester United, former St Mirren striker Lewis Guy and midfielder Josh Gillies, signed from Gateshead.
Abbott, who has no other injury or suspension problems, is expected to play young midfielder Brad Potts at right-back following the summer departure of Frank Simek.
Leyton Orient start the new season with four new signings hoping to make their debuts.
Having just missed out on the play-offs last term, manager Russell Slade has bolstered his squad in the hope of going one step further and has no major injury concerns.
Northern Ireland international Johnny Gorman could feature alongside fellow new arrivals Yohann Lasimant and Marvin Bartley.
Striker Shaun Batt returns to the O's following a spell at Millwall and is expected to start, while goalkeeper Jake Larkins may have to settle for a place on the bench.
