Robson in frame for return
Carlisle boss Graham Kavanagh could recall Matty Robson for his side's home game against Peterborough.
Robson was rested for the Boxing Day defeat to Preston due to long-standing back problem, with Brad Potts stepping in at left-back and on-loan Josh Morris making his first start at right-back.
Fellow defenders Pascal Chimbonda and Danny Livesey (both calf), plus midfielder Dave Symington (thigh) all remain doubtful, while centre-half Courtney Meppen-Walter sits out the second game of a three-match ban.
The Cumbrians are bidding to bounce back from two successive losses after slipping to a first home defeat in seven against Preston.
Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson will make "four or five" changes to his starting line-up following the Boxing Day defeat to Coventry.
Posh surrendered a 2-1 half-time lead at Sixfields to lose 4-2 on a day when the rest of the top-six in League One won.
"I was going to make changes for the Carlisle game anyway and now I feel have no choice," said Ferguson. "There will be four or five changes, one because of fatigue and the rest based on form."
Jack Payne, Kane Ferdinand, Tyrone Barnett and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing could be recalled to the starting XI while Joe Newell (illness) will be assessed after missing out against the Sky Blues.
