Reggie Lambe to remain with Carlisle Utd next month despite Bermuda friendly
Carlisle United winger Reggie Lambe will not be linking up with Bermuda for their latest international clash next month.
Instead Lambe, who has captained his country recently, is being left to focus on his Blues form.
The Bermuda Football Association say they do not want to "interrupt" Lambe's domestic campaign in order to involve him in their friendly against Barbados on October 28.
United are away to Chesterfield that day and Lambe, 26, will be free to continue in Keith Curle's side.
“Reggie plays football for a living and while this is a friendly and we do take it seriously, we don’t want to interrupt his club season,” said Bermuda FA development director Maurice Lowe in the
.“The match is not in a Fifa window or is an official competition, and so we feel it’s best to leave him to focus on his club career at this tim
“He [Lambe] is in a purple patch right now and scoring a lot of goals and so we want to avoid interrupting that as much as we can,” Lowe added.
Lambe has scored four goals in his 11 outings for United so far this season.
