" I will have to dust off the cobwebs or buy myself a new pair of boots. It seems about 40 years since I played for Carlisle. I don't think there is anybody there now who was there when I was at the club.
" But it is always special when you play against your former club and it does bring back memories. I learned my trade there and it was an enjoyable time for me. But tomorrow is not about me, it is about us trying to bounce back and get the three points.
" Carlisle are doing well in the league, but I am sure they will be concerned about us because we are a good side at home. Looking at their team they have made quite a few changes from last year. They were quite a good side before, but they have upgraded their team and they look as though they are going to have a good go at it this season.
" We are looking to put the Walsall game to bed and this is a chance to do that. I am not sure what Paul (Tisdale) is going to do in terms of replacing Troy (Archibald-Henville), but I will be putting myself forward. I still enjoy playing if needed. I probably couldn't play every game at this level, but when I am required I can do a job.
" The shape we play is different to other teams and we have got good players that can win football matches. Our home form is good and we are highly motivated to win games in front of our own crowd. I don't think there is one team that will run away with the league this year. Someone might string a load of wins together and win the league by a few points, but I think that teams are more closely matched this year.
" I still think staying up last year was a massive achievement. It was a really tough league last season and we were new to it. We will look back and think how well we did to say in the division. But our aim now is to really push on this year. "
