Bees skipper Kevin O'Connor spoke to his club's official website ahead of his side's League One game against Carlisle at Griffin Park tomorrow afternoon, O'Connor looking forward to playing after the recent poor weather :

"We had a lot of games in a short space of time around Christmas and if a break like this was going to come it has probably come at a good time, but we were also in a good run of form and wanted to play. I don't think you can lose form by not playing. It was frustrating but it gave us a chance to rest a few bodies.

"Everyone is re-charged and ready for Saturday, everyone's confidence is really high and they are coming into work happy. We just need to try and continue that. We are at home, we need to start strongly, get in their faces and do what we do well."

Meanwhile Brentford boss Andy Scott commented to the Hounslow Chronicle :

"I'd like to think we can keep the run going, but momentum is one thing, rest is another. We had a lot of tough games last month and a bit of fatigue was starting to set in, so the break has allowed us to recharge our batteries. We've been able to sort out any knocks or niggles, and have a clean bill of health apart from Nikki Bull.

"We've got a good relationship with Ray Lewington. It might be a problem for the fans to be using Fulham's indoor facilities but we have no problem with it and are very grateful to them. It is important we hit the ground running when we get back playing so we can build on the recent run of results we have before and during the festive period."

In team news for the Bees they have very little in the way of injury problems, goalkeeper Nikki Bull out with a shoulder problem, while on-loan Arsenal striker, and England youth international, Rhys Murphy had to return to The Emirates Stadium last week with a season ending ankle injury. Their only other concern being midfielder Sam Saunders who is very doubtful ahead of tomorrow as he struggles with a viral illness.

In other transfer news former Carlisle winger Cleveland Taylor and frontman Steve Kabba have both gone out on loan to League Two outfit Burton Albion until the end of the season. Coming through the in door though is 19-year old left-sided defender Tommy Smith on loan from Ipswich Town for a month.

The referee for tomorrow's match is Roger East from Salisbury in Wiltshire, and he will be assisted down the lines by David Buck from Istead Rise in Kent and Andrew Laver from Portsmouth. Meanwhile the fourth official is Sam Lewis from Middlesex.
