Reds boss Nicky Law spoke to the official Alfreton website ahead of his side's FA Cup first round tie at home to Carlisle tomorrow, Law hoping that the Town fans will make the Impact Arena an intimidating venue :
"In the past when we have gone to certain places where it is intimidating, it makes our job that much harder. We are going to need all the help we can get and hopefully the fans can try to recreate that sort of atmosphere on Saturday. It is difficult when you are coming to support a team that is not doing as well as you would like, but we have said all along it was going to be a tough season and it is proving that. For too long this season, we have had too many players either injured or suspended and unavailable for one reason or another and for that reason it is difficult to get going.
"We have had Carlisle watched and they are a good footballing side who play football the right way. They are doing well in their league and it is a massive test for us. But I think league positions and form all goes out of the window to a certain extent in a one-off cup tie, although we are going to have to play better than of late, that's for sure. It is all about us going out and imposing ourselves and hoping as many of our players as possible raise themselves. If not, the end result is inevitable.
"If we are going out there to worry about Carlisle and stop them, it is going to be a long day. You have to be mindful of your opposition, but it is all about what we do, we can't affect what they do. We have got it in us. There will be an upset come Saturday night, let's hope it is our game. I still say the same though, if we have got our best 11 on the pitch and they all perform to the best of their ability then we have a chance.
"Anthony Church is not going to come in and be a silky footballer, he is going to dig in. I have watched him when he has played against us and we have tried to get on top across the middle, but he just keeps going and stays with it and gets the job done which is exactly what we need at the minute. Looking at last year, where we have lost some of our strength is down the spine and Anthony will certainly stiffen our back-bone in midfield."
