Stanley Aborah is back in training with Notts County, but is unlikely to be risked for this weekend's clash against Carlisle.
The Belgian injured his knee in the 4-2 win over Barnet a fortnight ago having been the subject of a crude challenge from Sam Togwell.
Aborah has been advised by doctors that he will be out for another two weeks, but it hasn't stopped him from joining in sessions.
Ricardo Moniz admitted in his pre-match preview that even if Aborah made a miraculous recovery, he would only be fit enough to take a place on the bench.
He is not the only midfielder to be absent this weekend with Liam Noble also ruled out because of suspension.
His second red card of the season means he will serve a four-match ban.
The club will not be appealing the foul against Wycombe, meaning he will miss the games against Carlisle, Hartlepool, Morecambe and Oxford.
Kyle De Silva is also struggling with a knock and is likely to be missing from the squad.
