Glovers striker Paddy Madden spoke to his club's official website ahead of his side's League One match against Carlisle at Brunton Park, Madden saying anyone can beat anyone in the division:
“You have to treat every game the same, as you can see from recent results anyone is capable of beating anyone else. So, we will go to Carlisle prepared and they are a good side so we won’t take anything for granted but we will hopefully get the three points. Their consistency isn’t the best at the moment but they are a good side and on their day they can be dangerous, so we will have to make sure that we are prepared and ready to go.
“It should be exciting for me going back, obviously I have got some good memories as well as bad, so it will be nice to see all the lads again. But, I am a Yeovil Town player now and I want to do the best I can to win the game for Yeovil. I think I have proven my point, I have come down here and I have scored 20 league goals so I think my point is proved. But, I will just go up there and treat it like any other game and hopefully get on the scoresheet. But, the main thing is that we go up there and get the three points and get back into those play-off spots.
“It was obviously a bit of extra pressure here on Tuesday night when the television cameras are there and everybody is watching. But, as professional footballers we should be able to take that on the chin and be able to perform when the cameras are there. Because, if we want to go up to the next level then we are going to have more publicity. So, it doesn’t really affect us but the other night we still didn’t really perform.
“In the last couple of games we haven’t done as well in the second-half and I have noticed that myself. When we started against Crawley and Swindon we were tremendous and then we seemed to not come out in the second-half, so it is something we need to be aware of and work on and hopefully come out in the second-half the way we were playing in the first-half.
“Just because we lost the other night people can’t start jumping the gun and saying we aren’t going to get promoted, if we win our game in hand then we are back in the play-off spots. There are only six points in it from the top two, and with the games we have got coming up they are games we can win if we play as well as we can do. So, the first thing we are looking for is the two top spots, but second place for me would be the play-off spots.
“I always have confidence in myself scoring goals, it is a little bit of a blip now for me to be honest but as long as I am working hard and the team get the wins then it doesn’t really matter who scores the goals. It is obviously nice to score myself but as long as we get the three points that is the main thing. I will keep trying to perform the best I can and hopefully get as many goals as I can.
“But, James Hayter is tremendous for me as well up there because I like to play off the last man’s shoulder, so he is very good at dropping into the hole and then turning and feeding me in. I think we work well together and he plays that role very well, so he has been tremendous with me. A bit of experience up there and he knows how to work the space as well, so hopefully working well will continue. He is so clever from all his experience of playing and I am really enjoying working up there with him."
