Plymouth boss Peter Reid
Argyle manager Peter Reid spoke to This is Plymouth and the official Pilgrims website ahead of his side's League One match against Carlisle at Home Park tomorrow, Reid hoping Argyle can get their first home victory since they defeated Bristol City 3-2 on March the 16th :

" We need to get back to winning ways tomorrow. I want us to go out there and play football, and be relaxed. I know there is pressure at home sometimes, but you have got to handle that. We have got a great crowd, and the new pitch is great, so let's go out there and play. I've said from day one that I want Home Park to be a fortress and for us to score goals, but we got beat and didn't score on Tuesday

" I will be making changes again and, hopefully we can get a decent result. You can't go out there and have a fear of playing. You have got to go out there and play and enjoy it. It's a new start. It's the first home league game of the season. Let's be positive and get a result. We have got a great crowd and the pitch is great, so just play.

" I do believe in psychology and it's down to hard work on the training ground, and on match-days. You can't go out there with a fear of play. You go out and enjoy it. If I mentioned the stats, people might go in their shells, but this is the first league game of a new season, so let's be positive and get a result.

" There will be some disappointed players, but that's football. It's up to me to pick the team I think will win the game. It's something that hasn't bothered me in the past, and it's something that won't bother me in the future. Managers get paid for that.

" I'm trying to change bodies, slowly but surely. With some young legs coming in, allied with the experience we have got, I'm hoping that does it. We were anxious against Notts County and I want people who are uninhibited in their play, people who can get it down and play.

" Young players sometimes have no fear and that is my thinking. I'm still looking for another striker as well but in terms of a midfielder who can create and score goals, I'm delighted (Dean) Parrett is here.

" One of the things I will be impressing on the players is not to give stupid free-kicks away. You put yourself under too much pressure. As good as (Ben) Davies was on Tuesday, (Ian) Harte is even better. I know him from my days at Leeds United. The percentage of goals scored from free-kicks and corners is massive, so we need to stop giving them away. "
