"They are two massive games for us now. We had a great day on Saturday and it's important that we now kick on and win these two home games. We can only affect what we do and it's the time to start putting pressure on the other promotion sides by going on a winning run.
"Winning at Hereford was a big result for us. It was a difficult game, but we deserved to win and we can take confidence from the way we played. We kept the ball really well in the first half and the players looked comfortable in the new system. It was important that we developed a new way of playing. Other teams do get used to what you like to do so to have another system is important.
"The clean sheet was also crucial. Goalkeeper Joe Lewis was magnificent again and he has really answered his critics in style as I expected him to. He may well turn out to be one of our most important players of the season as keeping clean sheets is a priority now. This was the first time we've managed one since the Walsall match last month so we have to be happy with that.
"Carlisle have some good players like Graham Kavanagh and Danny Graham who are capable of hurting us. They've not enjoyed the best of seasons, but they are a better side than their League position suggests.
"But we have to go on another winning run now to put pressure on the other promotion-chasing sides. If we can win tonight and on Saturday against Southend there is a chance we could go second ahead of MK Dons. It would be interesting to see how they react to that, but that's for the future. The only thing on our mind is winning tonight's match."
Meanwhile Peterborough striker Aaron McLean commented to the same newspaper :
"It's a massive week for the club and if we can start tonight's match like we did the one at Hereford we can go on to win again. But this is a tough game tonight. Carlisle are definitely in a false position in the table as they have some quality players.
"We need to go on a run now to keep the pressure on the top two and there's no reason why we can't. We have two home matches coming up and we have to get six points and then see where we are. We will be confident of winning though and we all know this is the time to get on another run. We've had a few dodgy results in recent weeks, but we've come through that now and we're still third.
"I'm happy with my own form as well. The new system suits me as I enjoy playing down the middle with quality players on either side. I have a goals target in mind and I'm confident I can reach it."
In team news for the Posh four players are definitely sidelined, those being central defender Craig Morgan (toe), left-backs Tom Williams (knee) and Jamie Day (back), and striker Shaun Batt (groin). Midfielder Charlie Lee (dead leg) though could play a part in tonight's game as he will undergo a fitness test before the match. Good news for the home side however being that left-back or centre-half Shane Blackett will be available after coming back from a shoulder injury.
The referee for tonight's match is Graham Scott from Abingdon in Oxfordshire, and he will be assisted down the lines by Richard Beevor from Bungay in Suffolk and Wade Norcott from Harlow in Essex. Meanwhile the fourth official is Tony Maton from Oadby in Leicestershire.
