Current Carlisle-loanee from Dean Court, Harry Arter, spoke to the Bournemouth Echo ahead of the League One match at Brunton Park between the two sides tomorrow. Arter though staying away from the game as he was back in Dorset training with the Cherries yesterday :
"Not being there will make it a whole lot easier. It would have been very awkward for me. I am part of the Bournemouth team and want to see them do well, while Carlisle showed faith by taking me on loan. It was a bonus for a League One team to come in for me. It has been up and down so far. There was the high of scoring after coming off the bench at Brighton and then the low when they went straight down the other end and got the winner. I played quite well at Peterborough but we lost 6-0. Although it has been mixed, I have definitely got a lot out of it.
“I feel a lot sharper and have worked hard in training. I feel I could give a better account of myself than maybe I did a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully, Bradders (Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury) will want me back at the end of the month and tell me there is more of a chance for me. I feel I am more than ready to come in and do a job. I want to help us get over the finishing line.
“The teams are similar in many ways. Both rely heavily on team ethic. It has always been strong at Bournemouth and I have noticed it at Carlisle as well. Both teams are well organised and I can’t see there being too many goals scored. Carlisle will be on their guard after what happened at Peterborough and were very resolute during the midweek draw with Plymouth. I can see one goal in it, but I’m not saying which way!”
In team news for the Cherries tomorrow they have a very lengthy list of injury problems heading into the match. Firstly left-back Rhoys Wiggins is definitely out with a gluteal injury he picked up last weekend, while the second choice player in that position, in Warren Cummings, is also doubtful with an ankle problem. To try to compensate for that defensive quandry, Stephen Purches played at left-back for the Bournemouth reserve side in their 2-0 defeat at home to Swindon on Tuesday afternoon.
But, the rest of that game didn't go plan for the Cherries as midfielder Mark Molesley, who was coming back from a foot problem, turned his ankle 25 minutes in the match and so misses tomorrow's game, while three minutes earlier fellow midfielder Tim Stephenson had also had to be substituted due to his own injury. Further up the park and two players who are looking to work their way back to match fitness at the moment after long-term ankle problems, and so are unavailable tomorrow, are strikers Steve Lovell and Ben Williamson.
Their final long-term injury concern is right-back Ryan Garry who has a nerve problem in his lower leg, Garry, being a bit more experienced at the age of 27 having been doing some coaching and scouting for the Cherries over the last four months. While unavailable for Bournemouth tomorrow for a different reason is goalkeeper Jon Stewart who has been suspended by the club for a fortnight following alleged breaches of discipline regarding damage to hotel rooms on two occasions and a poor attitude to training.
The only two good bits of news for Cherries boss Lee Bradbury ahead of the game being firstly that Finnish youngster Lauri Dalla Valle has this week extended his loan spell from Fulham for another month after scoring twice in three games so far during his temporary move to Dean Court from Craven Cottage. While secondly fellow frontman Michael Symes is hoping to play some part in tomorrow's game depsite the fact that he will need to undergo a late fitness test due to a recent abductor strain in his groin.
The referee for tomorrow's match is Bobby Madley from Ossett in West Yorkshire and he will be assisted down the lines by Darren Handley from Bolton and Stephen Smith from Middleton St George in County Durham. Meanwhile the fourth official is Ross Joyce from Middlesbrough.
