"It's been a great week, and I can't wait for the game to come around. The people over here are great, I like what I've seen of the town so far, and after living in a hotel, it's good to have a proper base.
" I'm sleeping normally as well! I left Australia the Saturday before last, and I have to admit, the time change hit me. It's pretty much the exact opposite over here to Australia. When they're sleeping, we're up and about, and vice-versa, and in the build-up to the Yeovil game, I was waking at three in the morning.
" Sleeping and eating properly are vital things to any athlete, but the jet lag meant I was doing neither, because my body clock was all over the place. I was trying to stay awake until 10 or 11 at night in a bid to sleep through, but I was still waking early, so not getting enough good quality rest.
" But this week, it's been much better and I've been able to get into more of a routine, and I'm really looking forward to the Carlisle game. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Yeovil, especially with us getting the three points, and it would be great to help the side get another win against Carlisle. "
Over the January transfer window Huddersfield signed Dean Heffernan, Nathan Eccleston, Krystian Pearce and Neal Trotman. 29-year old Australian left-back Heffernan joined from Central Coast Mariners until the end of the season, while centre-half Trotman, 22, moved to the Galpharm on loan from Preston until the end of the current campaign.
Another young centre-back in 20-year old former Birmingham man Krystian Pearce came in on a permanent six month contract, while Liverpool striker Nathan Eccleston, 19, moved to West Yorkshire on a one-month loan deal, although that was quickly later extended to the end of the season.
Another bit of inward transfer news being that frontman Lee Novak has now completed 30 games for Huddersfield, that meaning that Town have paid out another £50,000 to Blue Square Premier outfit Gateshead. The Terriers having put down an initial £50,000 payment for Novak in January 2009, with further payments of the same amount scheduled for firstly 15 then 30 appearances.
On the other side of the coin, midfielder Jim Goodwin lengthened his loan deal at Oldham until the end of the current campaign, winger Lionel Ainsworth doing the same thing at Brentford. Meanwhile new moves did take place around transfer deadline day as striker Tom Denton and midfielder Lewis Nightingale joined Unibond League Division One side Wakefield FC on a month's loan.
With Jack Hunt already at Grays Athletic, Spencer Harris at Curzon Ashton and Leigh Franks at Fleetwood Town, Nightingale's move to Wakefield means four of Town's five first-year professionals are currently out on loan. Remarkably the Terriers also have out on loan Joe Skarz at Shrewsbury, Phil Jevons and Ian Craney at Morecambe, Jimmy Spencer at Northwich Victoria and Andy Butler at Blackpool. Town therefore having a bumper 12 players away from the club for temporary spells at the moment.
In team news for the Terriers tomorrow Eccleston, Heffernan and Trotman are all in line to make their debuts. Meanwhile midfielders Michael Collins (ankle) and Anthony Pilkington (hamstring) may be available to play as they make the comeback from their respective minor injuries. And finally striker Theo Robinson is back in the Town squad after being left out last weekend for turning up more than an hour late for a training session.
The referee for tomorrow's match is Police Officer David Phillips from Chichester in West Sussex, and he will be assisted down the lines by Peter Bankes from Bootle on Merseyside and Peter Gooch from Wigan. Meanwhile the fourth official is Philip Dermott from Warrington.
