Whites skipper Jonathan Douglas spoke to his club's official website about the big first-leg match of the League One play-off semi-final at Elland Road tonight, Douglas suggesting that the game will produce a great atmosphere :

"These games mean everything, it's the two biggest games this year and we know if we get through we're going to Wembley. Over the last couple of months we've proved what a good team we are and hopefully over the next couple of games we can show everyone that.

"There's a few members of the squad not played in the Championship and it's massive for the whole club. Everybody has to stay calm. These are games we are capable of winning. You have to be brave, everybody around us needs to be brave, and everyone around us needs to believe we can do it.

"My message to the supporters is 'just believe in us and believe in yourselves and believe we will win it. If we all believe we can do it, we will do it.' If we are all one big group, hopefully we will have a trip to Wembley. The atmosphere will be ranked up a few notches. It's a night game and they are always special.

"The crowd were different class against Gillingham the other week. Hopefully they'll stick behind us and believe in us. We can't expect they will be easy games. Carlisle are up there for a reason. We know what a good team they are and it will be difficult. They are two cup games, but we've been playing well and if we continue to do that we'll get through."

In team news for Leeds they will welcome back top scorer Jermaine Beckford who returned to training on Thursday following a troublesome ankle injury. The only absentee for the Whites being left-back Alan Sheehan as he serves the second match of a three-game ban, with club captain Alan Thompson having overcome a recent calf strain.

The referee for tonight's match is Tony Bates from Stoke-on-Trent, and he will be assisted down the lines by David Unsworth (not the Burnley defender) from Bolton and Garry Wallace from the Tyne and Wear area. Meanwhile the fourth official is Graham Laws from Whitley Bay.
