"I remember quite a bit about that night. It'll remain in my mind for quite a while and it's good to think about it now and again. After the game the lads were more pleased at the way we had turned it around because we knew we had let people down in the first leg. In the end it was a bit of relief. I won't be thinking about that night this weekend, though, because the most important thing is how the team go on.
"It was quite mad afterwards. You see yourself in the paper and things like that. After a while you've had enough. It's nice to get the recognition, and it was great to score the two goals, but it was a team effort. As a team player I was just happy to get through. We went down to Wembley early the following week and it was nice to take your mind off it, but that night was special.
"There's been a few changes over the summer. A couple of new faces have added some freshness. The team has changed from the beginning of the season, and they are doing really well. The lads that aren't playing are supporting and that's the way it should be. As a fan, watching from the side, you can see how things are taking shape.
"They (Carlisle) have a great home record, they are a good side, and they work hard. They've had a good start, even though they lost 2-1 at Scunthorpe last weekend, and at the end of the season I think they will be up there."
In team news for Leeds they are without left-back Alan Sheehan, who begins a three-match ban this weekend after his red card for a bad foul on Jon-Paul McGovern at Swindon, with 16-year old Aidan White, Ben Parker or Andrew Hughes all being possible deputies.
Centre-half Lubomir Michalik is available after serving a one-match suspension though and goalkeeper Casper Ankergren has recovered from an ankle injury. Meanwhile in other news at Elland Road 20-year old defender Scott Gardner has re-joined Farsley Celtic on a month's loan, Gardner having spent a temporary spell at Throstle Nest last season as well.
The referee for tomorrow's match is Peter Walton from Long Buckby in Northamptonshire, and he will be assisted down the lines by Dave Bryan from Stamford in Lincolnshire and Bob Pollock from Liverpool. Meanwhile the fourth official is Graham Salisbury from Preston.
