" We haven't given many sides much this season. But we gave Walsall a couple of goals and something to hang on to which is not like us. After that, we came back very well and in the end I was glad we got something out of the game, but we must learn that we cannot give sides opportunities like that.
" The first goal was poor, between three of our players their one managed to score. I was equally disappointed with the second. But we did come back well and Alan Dunne showed a real bravery. He had a shot just before his goal that he hit it high and wide, but he put himself up for a shot again and had to be prepared to fail. To do that is brave, no doubt.
" Every single game is vital for us now. We have 12 to go and we cannot allow our opponents to get one better than us. Our full concentration is needed at Carlisle and in every game until the end of the season. We have to watch Ian Harte in the game, it's not just free-kicks and penalties, he's scored with half a dozen headers from corners as well. So it goes without saying we must not mistime tackles in dangerous places. "
Meanwhile Lions midfielder Alan Dunne commented to his club's official website :
" We've got to start well and certainly cannot afford to give Carlisle a two-goal lead like we did at Walsall. Every game is like a Cup Final. - it's the business end of the season now. Carlisle will not be easy. it's a long way to go and we want to come away with the three points to keep us in the top six. There's still a long way to go, we've got 12 games left and a lot of points to play for, but we need to be converting our chances and picking up points every game. "
And Millwall striker Steve Morison told the Southwark News :
" A trip to Carlisle is always difficult but we'll do things right in going up there, prepare correctly and hopefully get the right result. I've played at Carlisle with Northampton, so I know what it's all about. There's a few teams in the Conference that far up like Barrow, so it's nothing new for me. "
In team news for the Lions this evening, they only have two players missing through injury but it is their first choice strike partnership of Gary Alexander and Neil Harris. Alexander has already been out for five months with a heel problem while Harris picked up a minor knock to the knee in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Walsall and had to be replaced after 49 minutes.
In better news for the Lions though, centre-forward Jason Price has yesterday returned to the New Den after spending a month on loan at Oldham Athletic. Price no doubt likely to find a place on the Millwall substitute's bench this evening.
The referee for tonight's match is Graham Salisbury from Preston, and he will be assisted down the lines by Darren Bond from Wigan and Richard Clark from Morpeth in Northumberland. Meanwhile the fourth official is Paul Marsden from Leyland in Lancashire.
