Dons centre-half Mark Beevers spoke to his club's official website ahead of his side's League One game against Carlisle at Brunton Park, the Sheffield Wednesday defender having signed for the visitors this week on loan until the end of December :
"All I want to do is play football, I have heard a few things about the last couple of seasons with the bad results for MK Dons going to Carlisle, but it means nothing. I think there are a new set of players out there now so it is completely different, hopefully we can go up there and the boys can continue what they have been doing and we will stay at the top of the league, which is a target for me and the club.
"It is a fantastic club with fantastic facilities and the style of football they play as well, hopefully it will suit me and it is a great opportunity for me to get back on track. The gaffer (Karl Robinson) has obviously got his own style of football, he has put that across to the players and the players are doing it and they do it right through the team, so we have just got to do what the gaffer says, if he wants to play then we will play, whatever it may be."
In team news for the visitors, firstly they made two signings this week before the closure of the transfer window. The Dons as mentioned signing Mark Beevers from Sheffield Wednesday, while also picking up winger Anthony McNamee from Norwich City on a free transfer one-year deal. Beevers is set to be available for tomorrow's game, but McNamee is likely to be missing as he works his way towards match fitness.
Other contract news this week for the visitors being that centre-half Gary MacKenzie has signed a two-year extension to his current deal, which will leave him under contract with the Dons to the summer of 2013. Out on international duty one Don will also be having a busy weekend as Spurs-loanee defender Adam Smith will be fitting in being involved with the England under-21 squad on Thursday and Monday as well as then being in the visitors matchday sixteen tomorrow afternoon.
As far as injuries are concerned, QPR-loanee attacking midfielder Angelo Balanta is sidelined with a slight hamstring strain, while centre-half Mathias Kouo-Doumbe is missing with ankle ligament problems. Meanwhile, former Carlisle striker target Jay O'Shea also has an ankle injury which rules him out of the game and giant striker Jabo Ibehre is also missing with a back problem.
The referee for tomorrow's match is Mark Clattenburg from Consett in County Durham and he will be assisted down the lines by two fellow County Durham men in Paul Davison from Stockton-on-Tees and Barry Gordon from Chester-le-Street. Meanwhile the fourth official is Danny Markham from Sunderland.
