" They did it last week to be fair to them and they did it the right way and played terrific football. We will try to do that again tomorrow and first and foremost we will try to win the game. It will be the same squad that has reported for the last while now, one or two will come back from injury and we will see how they feel.
" But it will be the same group and I am pretty sure they have got the mentality to go and win the game. We will try to win, we will do everything we can, although it is a hard game. I don't want to deflect from Carlisle, they have had a really good season themselves in getting to a cup final and it will be a hard game.
" But it is important we try to win it, we try to play well, the stadium will be rocking with the presentation before and after the game and it will be a great day for us. The players have got nothing to prove to me tomorrow in their eyes, I know that because I see them every day in training. I see the way they work and I saw the way they played the game on Saturday.
" They have got nothing to prove to me and I am sure they will give me everything they have got tomorrow. Whoever plays the crowd will get behind them and then the fans will enjoy the day, which they should do. But I don't need the lads to prove anything to me, I know exactly what has gone on. "
" This is the best it's been for me being a manager. It's been an incredible ride no doubt since August-time. To see the lads do it and some of the performances which have been really high and the attacking football we've played has been great.
" There have been times when we've had to fight for everything and they've been brilliant. Last-minute goals and everything we've had this season. The crowd have taken to it and the players have taken to them and vice-versa and the two have been brilliant, but to see them lift the trophy and to see the celebrations will be great.
"There will be young kids coming with their parents and this will be the first time they've seen it. It will be the next generation of Norwich fans that will hopefully remember - 'yes I was there on that day when Norwich lifted it'. It's not many times that you actually lift something at your ground. You very rarely get that, so it will be a great occasion for everybody.
" We'll have a lot of fans there and they'll come here in the biggest party mode and we'll try and win it in front of our own fans. Nobody likes to lose their last game at home. If the players can do it with a bit of style and they can win fine, but first and foremost win the game before you do anything. "
There will be a host of presentations made to the Norwich team before kick-off tomorrow, including the player of the season award, although the League One trophy itself will not be presented until after the game. One of the players hoping to be involved being on-loan Newcastle goalkeeper Fraser Forster who, currently on 18, is looking to equal a 35 year-old City record of keeping 19 clean sheets in the league over the course of the season.
In team news for Norwich tomorrow, their Carlisle born-skipper Grant Holt misses the game after undergoing an operation on an ankle problem in late April. While another absent striker with an ankle injury is on-loan Preston frontman Stephen Elliott who damaged his ligaments in last weekend's 3-0 win for City at Bristol Rovers.
Remaining upfront for the Canaries Luke Daley is sidelined with a thigh injury, but in better news for City boss Paul Lambert influential midfielder Wes Hoolahan will be available after missing the last six matches for Norwich with his own thigh strain.
Veteran striker Jamie Cureton is also back for the home side tomorrow after he returned to Carrow Road this week following the completion of a loan spell at League Two side Shrewsbury Town. There are slight doubts though about the potential participation of right-back Russell Martin for the Canaries after he missed their last two games with an ankle injury, but the defender is expected to be fit to start the match.
The referee for tomorrow's match is Andy Penn from Kingswinford in the West Midlands, and he will be assisted down the lines by Harry Lennard from Peacehaven in Sussex, and Keith Yeo from South Ockendon in Essex. Meanwhile the fourth official is Elliott Kaye from Hainault on the Greater London/Essex border.
