Latics midfielder Robbie Simpson spoke to his club's official website ahead of his side's League One match against Carlisle at Brunton Park this evening, Simpson saying Boundary Park is a good place to be at the moment:

“As a squad and around the place in general you come in in the morning and everyone is bright and bubbly at the minute, it is a great place to be and a great place to come into work, and it is enjoyable every day at the minute. There is competition for places now in all areas due to the quality that we have, so everyone knows that they have got to be on the top of their game otherwise they could be out of the team. The competition of the squad as a whole is fantastic at the minute, and that brings good performances and good results.

“We owe Carlisle one at their place I think after last year being 3-0 up, it is a place where I am looking forward to going, because last year in the first-half we were outstanding and let two points slip. That sort of stuck with me all season, we still talk about how we let that go, so it is a chance to put that right.

“But, they are a good side, obviously they have been on a bit of a bad run recently, but they have got great players. I know a few of them from my Huddersfield days in Joe Garner and James Berrett and they are fantastic footballers. They will be looking to bounce back but we have got to make sure they stay on their losing run."
