'Dale boss Steve Eyre spoke to BBC Radio Manchester and his club's official website ahead of his side's League One clash at home to Carlisle this evening, Eyre having caught up on his television viewing :
"We have seen them on DVD, I have not had a chance to see them live this year, I know Greg Abbott has done very, very well in his time there. They had an unfortunate result for themselves last week but the league hasn't really settled down yet but we are just obviously concentrating on ourselves now and what we are striving for now is a performance and a result to match each other and perhaps to even get in front and stop chasing and changing tactics to try to get a good outcome.
"Confidence is high and the dressing room is vibrant but at the same time after the Huddersfield game myself and Frankie Bunn just said congratulations. They deserve all the plaudits for their bottle and their courage to get a draw and Ashley Grimes's talent to get the goal, it is a good draw, but we want to win a football match and play well before we are high-fiving and jumping about.
"But, it was always our intention to not lose on Saturday and I'm delighted to come out of the game with at least a point. Huddersfield are a team with a great manager, great players and great talent and they are going to win a lot of football matches this season and on reflection it was a very good point for us. Make no bones about it we go into every game with the thought of winning it and if we cannot do that then the most important thing is not to lose it.
"Nicky Adams was man of the match for the second time this week, he would probably have got that just for workrate alone, but if you add in his touches although I think a little bit more end product, which is coming nicely for us, you can see why he has been man of the match twice. But, honestly he could probably get it just for his effort alone.
"We had a guest at the game who we’re going to have a look at this week in training, and we’ve been on the phone to Premier and Championship clubs regarding loans. We have put in a bid in for a Championship player. He has excellent pedigree and we’ve been given the opportunity to speak with him, though we know we are possibly at the back end of the pecking order for him.”
In team news for the home side they will firstly be without former Carlisle winger Simon Hackney who is currently sidelined with an abdominal muscle injury, while central midfielder Brian Barry-Murphy has been absent since early pre-season with a knee injury picked up during 'Dale's week long Spanish training camp at La Cala de Mijas. The final player missing this evening for the Spotland outfit being teenage striker Reece Gray who is out with a wrist problem.
The referee for this evening's match is Mark Brown from Hull and he will be assisted down the lines by Gary Hilton from Wigan and Paul Hodskinson from Bamber Bridge, near Preston. Meanwhile the fourth official is Scott Oldham from Poulton-le-Fylde, near Blackpool.
