Stuart Campbell
Rovers skipper and midfielder Stuart Campbell spoke to the Bristol Evening Post ahead of his side's League One match against Carlisle at Brunton Park tomorrow, Campbell, like Pirates boss Paul Trollope, harbouring faint hopes of a play-off place :

" We've made up five or six points on the top six over the last couple of weeks and if we can keep that going then it should be a thrilling climax. We've got four games coming up now in quite a short space of time and I think they will be definitive for the rest of our season.

" We seem to be hitting form at the right time in terms of winning games, whereas others are dropping points. There's normally one team that comes storming through at the end while somebody else drops out, and hopefully that can be us. Monday's home game against MK Dons is effectively a six-pointer because they are right behind us, so that will be a big one.

" But first we have to concentrate on the Carlisle game and that is not an easy place to go. They will be disappointed after losing a Wembley final at the weekend, but from their point of view the good thing is that they have a home game to look forward to and they have been strong at home this season.

" As for me, I'm out of contract in the summer and as yet haven't been offered anything, so I'm just waiting to see what happens. I'd heard Swindon expressed an interest in me.

" I spoke to Paul Trollope about it and he reassured me about my future here because it is quite unsettling to be only eight games away from the end of the season and have nothing sorted out. There have been no negotiations yet but hopefully the club will talk to me at some stage. I have been here for quite a few years now and I would like to stay. "

In team news for Rovers they have recently released five of their younger professionals who were out of contract at the end of the season. The quintet, aged between 19 and 21 being defenders Dan Cayford, Alex Kite and James Tyrrell, as well as strikers Neikell Plummer and Joe White.

Meanwhile Fulham midfielder Wayne Brown has returned to Craven Cottage, his loan spell not being extended into a third month due to a niggling ankle injury. Their final bit of squad information ahead of tomorrow being that right-back Byron Anthony sees out a two match suspension over this Easter weekend after picking up ten yellow cards this season, his place in the side being taken by Carl Regan.

The referee for tomorrow afternoon's match is Neil Swarbrick from Preston, and he will be assisted down the lines by Philip Dermott from Warrington and Dave McCallum from Wallsend. Meanwhile the fourth official is Seb Stockbridge from Dunston.
