Theo Robinson
Shrimpers striker Theo Robinson spoke to the Southend Evening Echo about his side's game against Carlisle at Roots Hall tomorrow, Robinson pleased to be back on home turf after three away games in succession :

" We are at home and I think we always perform well at Roots Hall. We have two games in a row coming up and it's a good chance to get points on board to make sure we respond the right way from losing at Swindon. It was disappointing to lose because we had won our last three games in a row, but we are still on an excellent run of form and have the chance to bounce back quickly against Carlisle.

" We are certainly pushing for the play-offs and we need to get as many points as we can from our last eight games. Last year it took until the last couple of games when I was with Hereford before we won promotion. Hopefully what I know from last year can help and it can happen again this season.

" It's going to be another hard game against them (Carlisle). They will probably be thinking that they should be higher up the table and will be looking to beat us so it's going to be tricky. But we certainly have enough about us to get a win. "

Meanwhile midfielder Franck Moussa commented to the Echo :

" Being at home we are looking to get the three points and that's what we want to do, especially after the way things went at Swindon for us. We actually started quite well there but the two quick goals they got killed us and we couldn't get near them after that. We were off the pace to be honest and can't afford to be like that again on Saturday.

" One defeat just doesn't suddenly make us a bad side and we've been doing well lately. We've been on a very good run so our confidence is high and we feel good about the game at the weekend. We can't just think we're in a good position and let the season fizzle out because of that.

" We have eight games to go and we want to get as many points as we can from them. Teams are still fighting for their lives so we owe it to everyone to give it our best shot. And if we can keep the good run going then who knows where we might end up, but it's important we get a win on Saturday. "

While centre-half Adam Barrett told the Echo :

" After losing at Swindon in the week, we are now six points from the play-offs. But there are still eight games to go and anything could still happen. We are going to give it everything we've got and immediately want to get back to winning ways. Carlisle always give you a good game and we will need to get back to what we have been doing if we are to get the result we all want. "

In team news for the Shrimpers tomorrow they have few injury concerns, with three players definitely out but one rated as probable to be in their squad tomorrow. The three missing are veteran striker Dougie Freedman (thigh) and fellow forwards James Walker (hamstring) and Alex Revell (broken leg), while influential midfielder Alan McCormack looks set to return from a groin problem that has caused him to miss Southend's last two games.

The referee for tomorrow's match is James Linington from Newport on the Isle of Wight, and he will be assisted down the lines by Harry Lennard from Peacehaven in East Sussex and Adrian Sannerude from Lowestoft in Suffolk. Meanwhile the fourth official is Carl Berry from Tadworth Park in Surrey.
