Wanderers striker Matt Harrold spoke to his club's official website ahead of his side's League One game against Carlisle at Adams Park tomorrow, Harrold saying that the Chairboys need to start showing some consistency :
" We haven't put together any real consistency this season but we know there are twelve games now and this is the time to do it. You'd rather do it now than at the start of the season. The form since Christmas in a way has been superb.
" It's just we keep having these blips, but in between we have been playing some good stuff, competing well against good teams and we know we're going to have to do that on Saturday. Everyone's looking forward to the game, we've worked hard and we know we've got to start winning again - it's vital. "
Meanwhile ex-Carlisle defender John Gorman told Wycombe's official website :
" I enjoyed my time at both clubs, but Wycombe need the points more than Carlisle this weekend to try and pull away from the bottom. I had an enjoyable time at Carlisle but I hope to see Wycombe pull it off on this occasion because I don't want them to go down. It's an important game for them. "
In team news for the Chairboys tomorrow, midfielder Gareth Ainsworth is serving the last match of a three game ban he picked up after being sent off for elbowing Millwall's Tony Craig two weeks ago. While also sidelined are centre-half Leon Johnson and midfielder Ian Westlake with respective knee and ankle injuries.
Two players have also left Adams Park this week, the pair being Luke Oliver and Josh Payne. Giant central defender Oliver has gone to Bradford City and his former Wycombe manager Peter Taylor on loan for a month, while 19-year old midfielder Payne returned to West Ham last week after spending a temporary month with the Chairboys.
The referee for tomorrow's match is Phil Crossley from Bromley in Kent, and he will be assisted down the lines by John Farries from Adderbury in Oxfordshire and David Margetts from Harlow in Essex. Meanwhile the fourth official is Gary Young from Flitton in Bedfordshire.
The officials responsible for overseeing a pre-match one minute silence for recently deceased Macclesfield manager Keith Alexander, while both sets of players will wear black armbands during the game in respect of Alexander.
