"Carlisle finished well last season and have started well this season. But this league is wide open. We need to go and perform, and if we do the way I know we can we'll be ok. We fear nobody and we're as good as anybody at this level. If we have the right attitude it's a game we can win.
"We are a little bit thin on the ground and it's down to whoever plays to go out there and do the job. If we can play to our strengths and play at the tempo we have done in all our league games so far, then we should have no fears.
"It's another tough game, but it's a game we can win. We've had reports on them. They're a good lively side who want to play football. They like to get the ball into the box early and play 4-4-2. We always let our lads know what shape they play and who the danger men are but it's about what we do. We know what their strengths are going forward but we also know what their weaknesses are.
"We've travelled really well this season so it will be nice to go to Carlisle. The long distance away games are coming thick and fast. We've got Cheltenham and Southend coming up, so there's nothing better when you come back with something. The trip home might be five or six hours, but it feels like an hour when you've got something. Let's hope we've got a happy bus on the way back from Carlisle.
"It wasn't a brilliant game on Tuesday and we should not have lost it. We underachieved. There were four or five changes to the side. Those lads who came in should have been making it really hard for me, selection-wise, to leave them out. But there were not too many who came out of it with flying colours. Maybe some of them will get another chance on Saturday because it will be forced on us.
"It bothers me that we did not play at the right tempo against Morecambe. I'm not saying our players did not want to win the game but we got into a pre-season type of mode in our approach. We are not good enough to do that. In fact, there isn't a side in this division good enough to switch from hot to cold. You have to be hot all of the time.
"We're waiting on Calvin Zola and Paul McLaren. I don't think Zola will play and McLaren will be last minute. Chris Shuker has picked up a thigh strain and is not training today. I've got seven players not training this morning, and a few will be touch and go. There are a few who definitely won't play but I'm not going to say who they are."
As Moore has already mentioned Tranmere will not have a full squad to choose from tomorrow although the ex-Rotherham boss is understandably guarded about which players will miss out. For the record, strikers Calvin Zola and Gareth Taylor have hamstring and broken rib injuries respectively while midfielders Paul McLaren and Chris Shuker, who both have thigh problems, will face late fitness tests tomorrow morning.
The referee for tomorrow's match is Eddie Ilderton from Newcastle, and he will be assisted down the lines by Paul Curry from Morpeth in Northumberland and Iain Siddall from Bolton. Meanwhile the fourth official will be Lee Metcalfe from Lancashire.
