One-time England under-21 international Adam Murray spoke exclusively to BBC Radio Cumbria yesterday evening as he gave his thoughts on the Chester victory. The ex-Derby player, like Peter Murphy and Michael Bridges, also spoke about a hard week of training :

" I think after last week’s performance we owed it to the fans and to ourselves to get back on track. We’ve had a hard week in training this week and I think today that we showed that if we work hard and get around teams then they are the kind of performances we can put out.

" It was definitely nice to get my first league goal under my belt. I’ve had a few chances to get my first one but it just hasn’t happened and I was chuffed to see the ball crawl over the line, but I’m going to take that and hopefully I can get a few more now.

" Obviously it’s brilliant to be back playing 90 minutes and to get a result like that was fantastic. I’ve said all along that if I get a chance then I will give 100%, obviously the manager picks the team, I don’t think anyone can complain with the teams he has been picking because of the position we are in. If I get a chance I just give my best and if I’m in the next game I’m in, and if I’m not I’ll just keep plugging away.

" We are all in it together, in the dressing room there are no cliques or anything, we are all pulling in the same direction. I think that when you’ve got that in a team and you are all working for each other then hopefully you can get success.

" Leyton Orient is a big game but we’ll go down there and hopefully get the three points. If we work like we did today then we can give anybody a game so that is what we will try and do. Hopefully we won’t have the 90 mile run this week that we had in training on Tuesday last week but we’ll be working hard as usual. "
