United media officer and first team kitman Andy Hall spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Mike Parr on Wednesday morning as the two talked about Carlisle's late March trip to Wembley, Hall first setting out how many tickets the Blues have got :
" We have been given the allocation of 24,506 haven't we and I think if you look historically at the Wembley trips that we have had in the past. We took 25,000 the first time, officially the figures were released around 21,000 but police and officials at Wembley suggest it was nearer 27,000 the second time. So we think we could easily reach the allocation and possibly have to ask about getting a few more.
" Ticket sales start on Friday basically and it starts with the season ticket holders for two days. We do like to make our season ticket holders feel that there is a little bit of exclusivity for them.
" So for two days on Friday and Saturday we will be selling to the season ticket holders, on Sunday it will go out to our other members and to those people that kept hold of the stubs from the Leeds Northern Area final appearance.
" Then from Monday onwards it is general sale for five days over in the Story Homes Stand. Then thereafter it will switch back to our main ticket office and we will keep selling until we have sold out.
" Basically we have been allocated the 24,506 tickets, we have got them in blocks, we have been told that we have to sell them in blocks. I know that that has caused a little bit of disquiet amongst the fans but we have got no choice about that.
" So what we intend to do is to sell them in blocks, with one block behind the goal for the fans that like to be there and a block off to the side for the fans who like to be there. So hopefully we will cater for every eventuality but we are going to have to sell in blocks, and that is something that we can't get away from. "
" The tickets range from £24 in price up to £58 in price. The £58 is for the category one where the Club Wembley people would normally go. We will get confirmation as soon as we can on how many of those we have got. Because initially we didn't think we were going to get those. But certainly the price range is £24, £34, £44 and £58 available.
" We have got the Carlisle United Supporters Club who have given us two options to travel. One of them is to travel on the Saturday morning at 7am, that will give you bed and breakfast in a hotel. It doesn't include the match ticket so you will have to get the ticket before you travel, that deal will be priced at £90.
" Then they have given us a second option to travel really early on the day, which I know some people are keen to do, from 4am on Sunday morning. That one will be priced at £40 for the travel and then get the match ticket on top of that as well. We spoke to Virgin Trains as well, they actually came down to see us and it was looking quite encouraging at one point when the directors were having a meeting with them.
" But whatever happened to the Virgin travel plans themselves, I think they found that because of planned work and things like that on the weekend that it couldn't go ahead. So we lost that option and we quickly moved away from it as a club because we have got to guarantee, whatever it is we do, that we can get our fans there.
" To finalise on ticket sales, it is season ticket holders on Friday and Saturday. Then we have got season tickets, other members, Premier Club members, corporate members and Leeds ticket holders on Sunday as well. Then on Monday it is general sale. "
