A couple of interesting changes in the full-back and the striking areas, tell us about them?
AH
Yeah, we have got Paul Thirlwell out and we have got Mike Grella and Matty Robson in. It is definitely to try to combat what we think Huddersfield will try to do today with the 4-3-3 formation, that is certainly what they tried to do down at Southampton, but it didn't quite work out for them there. So, it will be interesting to see and certainly the one that takes everybody by surprise is Kevin Kilbane, they have managed to get him registered so well done to them for that, and he is a good player isn't he.
JP
The real surprise though is that Gary Roberts and Anthony Pilkington, who looked like the standout stars, aren't involved in that line-up, is that a bonus or does that just show the strength that the Terriers have to come off the bench?
AH
Or maybe it shows that Lee Clark isn't happy, because he is bound to be reeling a little bit. To be where he is with his team, to get two games on when everybody else is losing them, that is an opportunity isn't it, you pick up six points there and you can start to look down at everybody. The way that Brighton are today with the way they are scoring for fun, well done Glenn Murray, but anyway, let's get away from that one. I think that is probably what Lee Clark is thinking, he needs to change this.
JP
Francois Zoko and Paul Thirlwell as you say not in the starting line-up, have you managed to glean from the manager (Greg Abbott) what his thinking was there?
AH
Yeah, it is just a case of using his squad, he is looking at who he is up against, we have got to play this lot (Huddersfield) four times in five weeks, which is ridiculous, but it is the way that it has come out for us. I don't think he wants to give too much away, he wants to go attacking today, you can tell that with the names that are on the teamsheet. So, we should expect to see our boys get at them and let's see what happens from there.
JP
In terms of the other positions, you mentioned Matty Robson being in there and Tom Cruise out there, was there any particular reason for that change?
AH
Again, I think it is because Matty Robson when he was doing his left-back duties a couple of weeks ago - he was doing them really well. Certainly in the lead-up to the Yeovil game, I don't think I am giving too much away by saying that Matty would have had that role.
So, I think that Greg is going to stick with that because that is what he was going with when we were at Stoke on the way down to try to beat the snow that day. So, he is going to go with that and we will see how Matty does, because it is a role that when he is playing well he does it well.
JP
Yeah, and he has done it throughout his career, he has played all the way down that left-hand side, and it does seem such a terrible waste not to have a player like Matty Robson in the line-up, and he is Carlisle's own, whereas Cruise is a player on loan.
AH
And Cruise has still got bags to learn, and he will admit that himself, he has got another eight days with us to show Greg what he can do. His loan expires at midnight on the 8th of January so there is time for him to make a claim for possibly something else to happen.
JP
Different shape for both these sides going into the game of course, Huddersfield have lost twice on the trot but before that they won four times on the trot, so you don't know what to expect from them. But, Carlisle just haven't played, so it could be anyone's guess as to how this will play out?
AH
It is difficult isn't it, you can't really second guess it. Because, of the fact that we haven't had the chance to play since the 15th of December ? (11th - ed), again that is ridiculous but that is the way it has gone for us.
We have managed to train and we have had a couple of games against Morecambe which we have kept behind closed doors at their request, so that has kept everybody ticking over, and we have done quite well in them. So, hopefully, I know that it is not the same match tempo and it is an artificial surface, but hopefully that will see us through today.
JP
And were there any choice New Year's resolutions? It is one of the themes today on BBC Radio Cumbria Sport, from any of the playing staff or yourself that you know about?
AH
Certainly for myself I think that the big one is to try to connect with the fans more. It is something that has been, ever since I took the job full-time, and the last ten or eleven years that I have been here, something that I have wanted to do, it really is difficult.
I know the fans have got their grumbles and we are trying to address them with everything that we are doing. We will still make mistakes but I think my job this year is to keep chipping away, because we are getting better, it sounds like I am lambasting myself there but I think that we are getting better, we just need to keep improving because it is a key area.
JP
Any comedy ones though coming out of the squad? Anyone promised to score more goals? Anyone promised to wear pink boots if they don't do something or another? Shave their hair? Grow a beard? Anything?
AH
None of that, no. I think the lads are just focused on Wembley, league football and getting past Torquay in the FA Cup.
