Bournemouth and England under-19 left back Ryan Bertrand, who is currently on loan at the Fitness First Stadium for a month from Premiership champions Chelsea, along with fellow Pensioners team-mate Jack Cork, spoke to BBC Radio Solent on Saturday evening as he gave his opinion on the match against United yesterday, Bertrand talking about the penalty decision as well as saying that the Cherries deserved to win the game :

"I think we were really unlucky, we plugged away at it throughout the game and I thought we deserved a win towards the end but it is just our luck at the moment. There is disappointment with the goal because it was just such a cheap goal to concede, it could have been defended much better. But we kept together as a team, plugged away and deserved to win.

"We stuck together, it is the most we have ever battered a team throughout the whole game, maybe not so much the first half, but definitely the second half. I thought on the penalty that if there was any contact it was outside of the box. As soon as he (Karl Hawley) has got into the box he's had a rubbish touch and has decided to drop down. We had two penalty shouts as well. They clearly had a man, I think it was their left-back, punch it out of their penalty area and then Danny Hollands just got hacked down on the edge - just our luck.

"The boys have been really good, they have made it really easy for us to settle in. We are just trying to do our best for the club and hopefully get us winning. I have based myself around Ashley Cole, because he has come to the club (Chelsea) and it has made it even better. I try and get forward and support as much as I can."
