United defender Darren Campion spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Tuesday evening as he talked about Carlisle's 2-1 pre-season defeat at home to Middlesbrough, Campion chatting about his own efforts :
" Obviously I was suffering with my groin injury at Partick but today I enjoyed it playing against Premier League opposition. Coming from a Premier League club, I haven't played against Premier League opposition for a while but I enjoyed it today.
" Basically I misjudged the ball near the end there, it was going faster than I thought, but I slid onto the ball and I just got a bit tight in my right groin this time, not my left groin. I stretched it afterwards though and it shouldn't be a problem, everything is fine, it just felt a bit tight so I stretched it out.
" Obviously we have got another game on Saturday and all the lads are just raring to go again. We have a day off and then come back into training and everything starts again. The lads get sharp, wait for the team to be picked and then we go again. Workington is another one, we got told today, I suppose that the lads will be looking forward to that. Again it is another game for the lads to get the ball popping about in pre-season. "
