United left-back Evan Horwood spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Friday morning ahead of Carlisle's away game at Swindon tomorrow, Horwood talking about the current financial crisis at his old club Gretna :

" I haven't tasted defeat yet, obviously I've only played eight games but since I've been in we haven't got beat yet so it's been good. I'm loving it, I'm really enjoying it at the moment, hopefully, with the wins, obviously when I was at Gretna I was at the bottom of the table and now I'm up at the top of the table which has been brilliant.

" I've talked to people like Muzza (Paul Murray) at Gretna, trying to say what kind of standard it is and I'm not quite sure what it is. It's strange, you play against good teams like Celtic one week and then you are playing at Inverness the next week so I can't really put my finger on what standard it is like. The defending side of it has been brilliant for me though going to Gretna, obviously I have done a lot of defending and now I get to do a bit more attacking now I am at Carlisle.

" I would be really sad if they went out of business, they are a brilliant set of lads and a brilliant set of staff there and I just hope that they can sort something out. I'm not sure what exactly is going on down there but talking to a few of the lads they are all just saying that it is bad times down there, hopefully they can sort it out. No-one could predict that Brooks is going to be ill and obviously he is the main man at the place. It's just a bad time, obviously things weren't going right on the pitch, and it seems as though things aren't going right off the pitch now either.

" I was trying to tell people that basically it's 100 miles from Gretna to Motherwell, 96 miles, it's just like Carlisle playing their home games at Hartlepool. So it's a horrendous journey for them to do, and obviously as each week goes by less and less fans are coming to watch. The lads were telling me that they only had 500 or 600 on the gate last week which is astonishing to be fair.

" I was talking to a few of the lads yesterday to see what is going on, and even they don't know what is going on, but hopefully it can get sorted. It's just Brooks Mileson being ill, that's the most important thing, make sure that his health is OK and see if he can sort something out.

" Swindon is massive for us, each game now, every game to the end of the season now is massive. The lads keep saying that if we win this one then we have got a great chance but I think we have just got to keep going, I can't see anybody slipping up. So we have just got to keep going, keep working hard and hopefully we can get another result on Saturday. I've been ridiculous lately, I've been checking everybody's fixture lists, Swansea have got three games away in the next six days so I have been checking up everybody's. "
