Hartlepool left-back Evan Horwood spoke to BBC Radio Tees and his club's official website after his side's 2-1 League One defeat at home to Carlisle, Horwood understandably disappointed that 'Pools didn't win the game:
"I thought we were really, really good up until 70 minutes and then they say goals change games and that is what has happened today, and we are very disappointed not to get the win. I think if we keep a clean sheet then we win the game without worrying about our chances, so it is a bit disappointing in the dressing room at the end that we haven't come away with the three points but I think the fans are going to go home a bit happier today seeing us create so many chances.
"I think if we had got the second goal we could have gone on and got a third goal, but we just need to keep the back door shut next week. I had a lot of my texts from my family saying that we were so unlucky. My family are my biggest critics so they will tell me when I am playing bad and when I am playing good, and it is disappointing as well with it being against my old team, but we have got a bit there and we should be OK this season.
"Today was just one of those things and we have just got to get on with it really. It is just frustration more than anything because we played so well, and since I have been here it is probably one of the best games we have played up until the 70 minutes. It is so strange the outcome, we are sat in the dressing room shaking our heads wondering how we have lost that game, but we have and we have got to try to think why we have lost the game really.
"Some of the older lads didn't get cramp like the younger ones so we don't know what the situation is with that really, none of their lads went down with cramp so it is just one of those things I think. Neil Austin getting sent off as well didn't help the situation, but we have got to be a bit more professional and see a game out really, we have played a hell of a lot of games between us so we need to get things right.
"Hopefully now Craig Lynch might make an impact for us in the next couple of weeks and we'll see what happens. All the fixtures are hard though, I know everybody says this but they are, if you look at the league you can't put a coupon on anymore because everybody is beating everybody. So, we have just got to make sure we are right for the games and hopefully we can get something out of next week."
