United frontman Francois Zoko (FZ) spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's James Phillips (JP) following Carlisle's 2-1 League One win at home to Huddersfield, Zoko saying that the Blues had a lot of chances to get the three points more safely :

A fantastic performance from everyone, how proud are you all to be Carlisle players tonight?
FZ
It was a really, really good game today, the team proved their progress over the last few weeks, and today we play very, very well and the win is very deserved. We had a lot of chances to win the game safely but the last goal is more emotion and it is a really, really good win today.
JP
No goal for Francois but clearly the fans recognised your workrate giving you the man of the match. What does it feel like to be involved on a day like today?
FZ
More important today is the win, in the last few games I do a lot of defence for the team and I played for the team today. It is not the same game, we need a win today, we win, I play for the team, give the pass for score, everybody work together, we want something and we work together for this.

Some games Carlisle are expected to win, perhaps MK Dons and Huddersfield not quite so, what does it mean to beat teams of this quality?
FZ
If you want to fight for the promotion, if we want to look for the Championship we need to beat everybody. We give respect to everybody when we go on the pitch, but you play for win today against Huddersfield. Next game is same, try to win the game.

Their team, one defeat in eighteen games before today, the best striker in the division probably in Jordan Rhodes, did it feel like you were playing one of the best?
FZ
Yeah, he is good, I think he is a good striker but today the back four, Dan (Danny Livesey) and Murph (Peter Murphy) and Lubo (Lubomir Michalik) who came on did very well. It is really team progress, go forward and look for something good in this season and everybody do well, it is good.
JP
Chris Lumsdon used to play for Carlisle United, in commentary he said that Jack Hunt, the Huddersfield right-back, will have nightmares about you tonight?
FZ
Today the gaffer (Greg Abbott) asked me to play offensive, gamble every ball for the team offensive, no big work for defence today, and I do. I do my job, I try to keep the right-back on me and try to go forward and I think it was not a bad game for me today.
JP
What is the mood like in the dressing room with all the players? How excited were you all?
FZ
Everybody is excited because everybody do well and we keep going and we think you can do something really good this season, and you believe that now more.
JP
Four points clear in the play-offs because Notts County won late in the day, is that the sort of gap that you would like? Do you think that you need to be careful in the next couple of games to hang on to that?
FZ
Nothing is finished, we know that, we know we need to continue to play and take the points. It is not finished, we know other teams are not finished and we play game after game, take it game after game and play for three points every game.
JP
And when you see 7,500 people here all singing the Carlisle United songs, what does it feel like to be a player and how much do you enjoy that?
FZ
It is very good, it is very good, I hope the next game is more 8,000 or 9,000 because we can do something good this season. We believe in it now and everybody believe that, and this is good, very good.
