Notts County frontman Francois Zoko (FZ) spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's James Phillips (JP) following his side's 4-0 League One victory away to Carlisle, the former United man saying he still looks for Carlisle's results every week:
JP
How did you find the experience of returning to Carlisle United?
FZ
Unfortunately it was a good day for me because we won, I have gone from Carlisle now but I still look for the results of Carlisle every week. Today it was really emotional because I received a good reception. I didn't start but it was a really bizarre day for me, I saw my mates and I still have contact with them, but it was a really bizarre game. In the end today we won and I say to the lads here keep going and think about the next game.
JP
Of course it was exciting for you the move in the summer, going to a new club, living in a new city. But, were you sad as well when you left the club that had been your home for two years?
FZ
Yeah, it wasn't an easy decision, I took my time for this, I signed in August. I thought about my time and I decided to move from Carlisle, it was not because I don't like the people here or I didn't like something. It was just a decision I took for a new challenge and something different. That was just the decision but I still have good, good moments in Carlisle, every time I say this wherever I am playing. They were my first team in England and whatever happens these memories with Carlisle will last all my life.
JP
You are welcome back in Cumbria any time, but can you not score every time you come back?
FZ
This is my job, try to win the game and play well and try. I just say to my friends from Carlisle good luck, try and win the game, because I know exactly every week what Carlisle do and I hope just apart from this game Carlisle wins.
JP
You are obviously a big figure, you are now the top scorer again outright for Notts County, how important were Carlisle United and Greg Abbott in getting you to this position where you are now?
FZ
I spoke with Greg before the game and we still have good relations. I haven't spoken to him for a long time but when I spoke with him before the game we had a good conversation. We still have good relations and he knows what I think about the Carlisle team and about him. It is the same on my side and I hope just Carlisle play good and progress. I have a good, good atmosphere with the people here.
JP
And the fans we have always said fell in love with you, but their team has just got smashed 4-0, they are all miserable, but they still hang around and give you a big round of applause at the end, that must have been nice for you?
FZ
Yeah, it is nice, it is not because it is me standing here and saying it but I had a real good, good, good moment in Carlisle. I can say more, I won something with this team, we were near the play-offs last season, one moment like this and I still like Carlisle fans, I still like a lot of people here, I have good friends here. So, I just think it is the life when somebody moves from somewhere, it is not just about going and forgetting, I don't forget this at all.
JP
It was always a pleasure watching you, the very best of luck at Notts County, but try to pick up an injury next time we are playing you?
FZ
Thank you, I try, I didn't start today.
