"It was always going to be tough but I thought we stuck in there after that opening goal, and for me, we were the only team that was going to score in the second half, and then Benno (Mark Bentley), whether it was through frustration or whatever, he was on a yellow card and should know better, but he got a red card, although in saying that the other lad (Zigor Aranalde) looked as though he had just been knocked down by a runaway train, and then he jumped up and started flashing imaginary cards at the referee, which I thought was poor, but Benno should have known better in a situation like that.
"Those supporters over there have just come up six and a half or seven hours on a coach and they deserve better than that, but 5-0 is not a true reflection of the game, not by any stretch of the imagination, no way was it 5-0, but even with ten men, how we collapsed was poor.
"We can see from the line, we know what's happening and it's been like that for most of the season. We have to defend better, we have to have the desire to stop crosses and to stop things coming in to our box, and to get our heads on things, and we didn't do that enough today. Everybody knows (the squad size we've got isn't good enough), but I want to see a better show than what was put on today, especially that last 10 or 15 minutes.
"Brentford is a massive game and I'll have to make one or two changes after that today because people don't deserve to keep their place in the team. I've been mixing it around at the back all season which I've had to with what I've got, and I'll be doing that again next week. We'll work on it all week and we will come out with a team ready to go on Saturday."
