" Managers take a lot of pleasure out of games like that because all we talked about at half-time was winning the game. We thought that if we could get a goal up, the wind was probably stronger in the first-half than it was in the second-half. We struggled to get out and we struggled to turn them around and we struggled to step on and play.
" They got their two goals though, they huffed and puffed and got two goals. We just felt that if we could get an early goal and put them on the back-foot with the energy that we have got and the determination that we have got within the camp, that we could cause them problems.
" It was a perfect script, Danny (Graham) scores after one minute in the second-half and then I think that after that we were putting them on the back-foot all through the game. We came out of the game with a fantastic victory, to come from two to get to three and turn it around like that is always pleasing. It just shows that we have got determination and character as well as the other things that we have got at the moment that is running through the club.
" We thought that we started the game quite well and we rocked them in the first ten minutes. Then they get their goal and obviously that then puts a different slant on the game. You come in at 2-0 and it is easy to fall out with the players but I wasn't too upset. I was upset that we were two goals down but I just felt that with the way that we were playing and the way that we have been doing, and the spirit that is in the camp that we could turn it around with a goal. The boys went out and proved that, talk is cheap, but they have gone out and done it and they deserve all the praise and the credit for that.
" We have turned the corner, there is no question about that, everybody knows that, it is how far round the corner we can go now isn't it. We have got to just not accept what we have done, there has been a lot of hard work to get us here. I reminded the boys yesterday in training that the work that has got us here is going to be the work that keeps us going and keeps us moving forward. "
" Whilst they are listening and responding and applying themselves like they are doing in training and games then we will be OK. If they drop below any of the standards, if they think that they have made it, if they think that it is going to be easy then they are in for a big shock and we will get knocked down to earth with a big bump. At the minute though they are on my side and they are going at the games with a right determination, and we are really pleased with everything at the minute.
" I am not even bothered about any offer for Danny Graham, we are just concerned with Danny Graham scoring goals for us and that he is a happy bunny. Danny Graham was close to not even playing today though because about half an hour before the kick-off he has been struggling with a virus this week. He wasn't sure that he could make it so I just told him to start the game and see how he get on, and that if he was struggling then we would bring him off.
" He has done 90 minutes and he has put in an unbelievable shift in the circumstances and he got his goal. So if that is a player that wants to leave the club then I am a Dutchman, it just shows that he has got tremendous character and tremendous belief in what we are doing, and I think he wants to be a part of what we are doing.
" Nobody can argue that Joe Anyinsah wasn't a good substitution but I don't want to take too much away. We wanted to win the game, we said at half-time that we wanted to win the game and we know that Joe can play on the right and he can play down the middle. He is going to give another problem with his pace and his power.
" He got the turn, he got away from his man, and we keep encouraging him, this goes back to the first time that he was here, to shoot more often. That is what happens, it ends up in the back of the net and it is a fairytale for him, I am really pleased for him. Hopefully one of the reasons that he has come is because he likes it here, he likes the people here, he knows the players, the majority of them, and he wants to further his career. He feels that he can do that and today he has got off to a belting start and long may it continue. "
" He (Jeff Smith) has got a bit of a groin problem so he has come out of it and Simon (Hackney) has come on. He has looked lively and he has helped to contribute to a terrific victory. Offers or no offers, while he is wearing the shirt of Carlisle United we owe it to 6,200 and something people to make sure that we go and perform.
" If other things come up later in the week then they get dealt with, but when they cross that pitch and that white line onto the pitch and there are people watching them paying good money then they have no right to let anybody down. Certainly Simon was in no frame of mind to do that, he went and rolled his sleeves up and gave us a performance.
" Down there it was really windy, it was really hard in the first-half, I thought that the wind went down actually in the second-half. The crowd have seen spirit though, they have seen determination, they have seen honesty, and I said before, the crowd will accept that. They have their grumbles about bits of play that weren't as good as it should be and so do I, and we are all together on that.
" When the players show their determination and spirit and a victory turned around in that manner then the crowd can go away, and we did say that we want to send people away with smiles on their faces. Well, if there is anyone with a bigger smile than me tonight then I want to see them, but at least our fans have got something to talk about in the pubs and clubs of Carlisle tonight.
" I am working very, very hard on trying to keep Tim Krul. It is a situation that I am going to try to get resolved, I am confident, optimistic rather than confident and let's hope that we can sort it out. He has been terrific for us hasn't he and he loves it here, you have seen him at the end there jumping up and down, the big mad Dutchman. "
