New United loanee Ian Morris spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey after Carlisle's 1-1 draw at home to Northampton, Morris suggesting that the Blues and the Cobblers cancelled each other out a little :

" It is going to be tough now, between now and the end of the season. I think that there was a lot of spirit out there today though, the two teams cancelled each other out at times but we stuck in there, we created chances and on another day we would have put them away and come away with the three points.

" I tend to be a little bit vocal, some of the lads say too much at times, but it gets players going, some people need you to keep on their backs and stuff. It was a bit of a fighting game today and you needed to put your boot or your head or your body where it needed to. We got our reward, the top four today were super and could have scored a number of goals.

" The referee (Andy D'Urso) told me before the shirt pull, he told me that I had one more challenge and I could be off. When I pulled him back I closed my eyes and just grimaced, I was hoping that he wasn't going to pull out another card. He just gave me a little look and I knew that it was my last one, he didn't book me there thank God but I was walking a tightrope in the second-half. That was the reason I was taken off.

" I thought that we hung in there and that we could have nicked it at the end with a couple of chances and that. It was a bit of a scrappy game at times but our quality shone through in patches. We are looking forward to a huge game next week, it is going to be tight at the bottom, that is where you start getting characters coming out. Playing against the top teams, they might be thinking that they are banking on a win here today, so they might be a bit laboured. So we are going to be bang at it, the spirit in the camp is very high at the minute.

" Obviously I am coming here and I am on a stage now as well. I am going to be judged by my club, by this club, by other clubs, by anyone who is watching. So I can't really be throwing the towel in and stuff, I am going to be bang at it, I want to win every game that I am here. I want to score, I want to create goals and I am here to do the best and hopefully keep Carlisle in this division. "

" Leicester is a huge game coming up, it is going to be cup finals left for us now. I was looking around the park today and you look at the players that are on the pitch and we shouldn't be in this position. Great players out there, you have got international players, players who have played at the top level, and there are young players there who will go on and play at a higher level.

" We are in with every chance, I think that clubs will know that here watching us today, they will know that we will be dangerous. As a back six today we just looked to be compact and clear things with no mistakes, obviously there are going to be a couple of mistakes but we got a good base and we lot the top four play, and they did.

" I found out on Wednesday that Carlisle were interested and all the paperwork got done, so I went over, signed the sheets, collected all my stuff from Scunthorpe and then I came up on Thursday evening. So I came in and met all the lads on Friday and everyone has been great with me. I needed football, at Scunthorpe I was in and out and I was playing games and then I wasn't.

" There was no consistency and here there was a chance to play every week. I can't just bank on that though, I need to be bang on my game for every game. I played in a reserve game at Leeds on Tuesday night and there were quite a number of professionals playing in that, so it was a good game to play in. It will have been two or three weeks since I played before that.

" Today was good, my fitness was quite good, it is just the match practice and getting your eye in for a pass. Obviously today has helped me a lot I felt, easing myself in as the game was going on, obviously getting booked so early sort of hampered me a little. I will be bang at it in training, I am looking forward to it next week, I can't wait to come in on Monday and start training and get to know the lads a bit better. It is the best feeling in the world putting on the shirt and going out to play, I just want to play every game from here. "
