What was that like for a player out on the Brunton Park turf today?
JB
It was hard work, it wasn't the prettiest out there today, but I think we have ground a good result out against a good team, so it is all smiles.
JP
They created an awful lot of chances before Carlisle got the goal, but in fairness to you all once you got that you got a good stranglehold on the game?
JB
I think the goal changed the game really, as soon as we got that goal I think the crowd lifted us and we lifted it, and we just kept trying to get those goals. To be fair in the end we could have had two or three.
JP
In a game where you are the home side and a team comes like Notts County, and they undoubtedly have got some quality in their ranks, but when they are creating a lot of chances, how easy or difficult is it to keep control and not lose your heads out there?
JB
It is tough when they are having a few chances and hitting the crossbar. The crowd were brilliant today, they kept us going like a 12th man, the cliché, but they did and I think from that it lifted us, and getting that goal changed it for us.
JP
Who are the leaders on the field? We don't necessarily hear it all up here in the box, who are the men who are geeing you up and keeping people composed out there? Because it is such a young team it is difficult to know who is going to be the leader out there.
JB
I think it is more a team thing than one or two that really stand out for me. I think it is a whole team, I think if someone is not doing something then everyone will tell them, I think everyone keeps everyone going, like we did.
JP
What about Matty Robson coming on today? Hasn't had perhaps as much game time as he would have liked but at times his impact when coming from the bench has been profound, and that was the case again today. A hand in the goal and also the chance that Gary Madine I believe has already admitted he should have made the second.
JB
He was brilliant when he came on, we just keep giving him the ball when it is like that, because he has got the full-back (John Thompson) and he can keep taking him on all day. So, it was just a case of trying to get the ball to him as much as we can and let him do his thing.
JP
More broadly on you, how are you finding it since your move from Huddersfield here? You have played almost every minute of every game, or have you played every minute now?
JB
No, I have come off a couple of times.
JP
You have come off a couple of times? I am giving you too much credit. But, still, how are you finding it out there?
JB
I am loving it, I am playing and I am enjoying it, it is just brilliant that way, second in the league and it is all going well, so I am just really pleased.
JP
I am noticing that despite a victory today, a great one as well at Colchester, Huddersfield two points behind Carlisle and a few places. Do you stay in touch with a few of your friends back there and point that out to them tonight?
JB
I will point it out if it is the end of the year, but I still speak to some of the boys, so it is nice to see us above them at the moment.
JP
And in terms of next weekend, a very long trip for you. There are a lot of those for Carlisle United, going down to Exeter, what do you know about them going into that one?
JB
I just know it is the other side of the map, so it is just going to be an absolute trek, so just looking forward to that really. I don't really know too much about them to be fair.
JP
It is a few pages on in the map book isn't it from Carlisle is Exeter, it is going to be a good long trip. How are those for the players just finally in terms of time away from home but a bit of time with your team-mates and a bit more quality time together?
JB
It is good, we have got a really good bus, so there are a lot of things to do. There is SKY on the television or we all take our laptops on. It is fun, we just get on with it really.
JP
And you have got games consoles and all sorts on there haven't you?
JB
Yeah, there is a PlayStation 3 at the back, so the boys are playing FIFA, so it is all good.
