Joe Garner
United's £140,000 record signing Joe Garner spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Derek Lacey on Friday afternoon as he talked about the sensational sacking of Neil McDonald earlier in the week and his own move to Carlisle :

" It's nice to be here, just glad to be back really. I spoke to the manager ( then - Neil McDonald) last year and he said had been ringing Blackburn but not getting any response. During the summer they brought a few strikers in down there and I think it got to about seven strikers, so I went it to see the manager (Mark Hughes) and just said that it wasn't doing me any good being there and that it was really.

" It was difficult leaving, I've been at Blackburn about 11 years now but I think it got to the stage where I had to leave really and play first-team football, so that's why I left. The fans are brilliant, that's one of the reasons why I wanted to come back, the fans are brilliant, the people are nice up here and I enjoy it. I have targets, anything over 15 goals and I'll be happy. He (Danny Graham) is a good player, I worked well with him last year and that was another reason why I thought it would be good to come back because I think we'll do well together. "
