" I think that the supporters will be pretty pleased with what they have seen. We have had a tough game tonight to win, when they saw the fixture list the same as me they would be wondering how we were going to fare in the three out of four away from home. This particularly is a tough match, I think that we have a played team here that is going to be very, very good in League Two.
" They have played some good football have Shrewsbury but we have stood strong and that is what pleases me tonight. We have defended very, very well with a lot of strength, because when you have got (Richard) Walker and got (Grant) Holt upfront, they have got some strength about them. That is something that we dealt with very, very well as a team, particularly in the second-half when Shrewsbury came at us.
" He (Ben Williams) has done fine tonight, it was hard for him to come out, there were a lot of crosses coming and a massive amount of bodies in the box. Can he come out, can't he come out, but when he has come out he has done very well for us. He has got to make those decisions but the guys in front of him, as they did last year, have protected him very, very well. When they have got through to Ben, like he did on Saturday, he pulled off his stops and came for his crosses. Fine, good, a nice little reward for him obviously coming into the football club.
" We have got to be careful with everything now on Saturday. We have set our stall out and people will be coming to the ground expecting to see a win, but they are tough to come by. We have got to work as hard as we have done today and show the football that we did here tonight, particularly in the first-half, and again on Saturday there was some good stuff at Bristol Rovers. "
" So we will just have a breather tomorrow and regroup and get back in on Thursday and Friday, and hopefully we can get a good crowd at Brunton Park on Saturday to see the boys have another go. We will try very hard to win the game if we can obviously.
" We've got Shrewsbury Town and Carlisle United, we're not Manchester United that can make 10 or 11 changes, we've got seven substitutes as well. So I have literally come with the 19 fit players that I have got, and just young Darren Campion has not got a shirt, Fine, I've said to you before that we have got to use this group and this squad.
" The team started very well on Saturday though, it started very well again tonight and as it moves on then you make one or two alterations to it. We have done that, we've won both games, so both the squad and the coaching staff I think have done pretty well over two matches.
" Winning pleased me most tonight, I get the pleasure out of that, we had to be strong in the second period to quell a lot of attacking from Shrewsbury who came back and did very, very well. There was some really good football played from us in the first-half as well though. So the mix of the game where when we come under pressure we can stand our ground, and when we get the ball we can play nicely with it. We want to be a more bit effective probably but four goals in two games and two wins will satisfy me thank you. "
