" It's disappointing but it's incredible to think that here we are being disappointed at drawing away from home when a long time ago we would have been happy to be in this league. I think it shows credit to our team that people see us as a scalp, the home fans are whistling for the final whistle while the game is still on hoping for a draw. So it shows that we are a decent side and it depends how you want to look at it.
" Of course I'm disappointed, I've got a dressing-room full of people who think they have lost really. We want to push on and we want to get better and we are doing and we will do. I'm OK with it all, you've got to take it in your stride over a full season of 40-odd games and in the end if we achieve something by one point then this will be a good one.
" We've got two home games to come which are terrific, we've just managed that in there. Saying that you can look at it how you wish, if we'd been 2-1 down and we'd equalised you'd have been saying what a wonderful afternoon it is but it would have been the same score and the same performance.
" So you've just got to take it on the chin in the right way, OK, that's a decent point, it's one more than we had when we got here. If we can then lift our game, and I'm sure we can, against Leyton Orient next Saturday then we can hopefully get three points there and knock them back a little bit, that would give us another lift.
" I thought that in the first-half we were disappointing in terms of looking laboured and a bit tired and that was a bit of a concern. Certainly at 1-0 up I thought that we could lift our game up but to be fair they came back with their goal and then lifted theirs. We did well to stay in the game at half-time at 1-1 so when I am looking at the full 90 minutes I'm not massively disappointed with it all.
" You think that we could have gone down at half-time and then had to come back on it but certainly we lifted our game in the second period. Any time when you are one goal ahead it's never quite enough, there is always something could happen and we've got caught. "
" We didn't seem to know how to run the game away with four minutes of added time to go, we are down in their left-back's corner by the corner flag and we have given a free-kick away. Then within seconds they have gone up the other end and equalised, we've got to learn how to run a game down when we're leading in that position.
" You've just got to keep it all on an even keel, we've got one of the best defensive records in the league, we've got one of the best goalscoring records in the league and we've got one of the fewest defeats in the league. Plus we're in a top four position so let's not get too disappointed about drawing at Northampton. It's the circumstances that you are disappointed with more than the result, yes, we were in a position to win it and we haven't done.
" So yes I am disappointed, yes I wanted to win, it won't spoil my Sunday because I know that I am in charge of a very good team and I'm looking forward to the next game already. Because if they have still got that little bit of anger and annoyance from today taken up to next Saturday then fine, that is what I want.
" Five bookings was far too many, I've gone on the pitch with Stuart Gray the Northampton manager at the end just waiting for the players really. The referee has come over and Stuart first of all said - "too many bookings" - so I said to Trevor Kettle the referee that that is the manager who has had the least telling you that. So it is too many and when we took the team-sheet in he said that it was difficult conditions so he would give allowance for that, I don't think he really has particularly but there you go.
" The fans today were terrific and, to be fair, they are as disappointed as we are but the whole load of them stayed at the end to just applaud the team off. They know that they have got a team that is wearing the shirt with a lot of pride and effort and commitment. Even the disappointment of not winning today, they have shown their appreciation of the efforts of the team.
" I keep saying that if we can stick together then we'll do something together. If we can do it back at home next Saturday then terrific, these guys that have travelled all the way here today will get a little reward as well. The distance to travel is enormous, the weather has been horrendous on the motorway but they are here and they want their team to do well and they let us know that. They have been behind us terrific today as always and they have appreciated what they have seen, if we win next week then we will dedicate a bit of that to them because they are good guys.
" Joe Garner just tightened up on his hamstring, that's why we took him away, he let us know. We're hopeful that it's not a pull but he's just said that it was tightening up so it's a good decision from him really to tell me that and shift out of there, but everyone else is fine. "
