United goalscorer Karl Hawley spoke exclusively to BBC Radio Cumbria yesterday evening as he gave a few thoughts on the win against Mansfield and the mood in the dressing room :

" It was frustrating for the both the boys and the fans today because our performance wasn’t very good all afternoon really. In the second half we upped it a lot and we deserved the win.

" I didn’t think about the booking to be honest, I was just happy to see the ball go in the back of the net.

" Our tempo wasn’t very good in the first half and we just needed to try and keep the ball but we didn’t have the best game all afternoon as far keeping the ball was concerned. We worked harder in the second half, our tempo was higher and we got our just deserts.

" Dennis and the gaffer had a few things to say at half-time which lifted the lads so job done really. We’re just relieved to get the win, we’re happy with our second half tempo but we know we can do a lot better and hopefully get confidence from this game and take it on to the next.

" We’ve been in a bad run but hopefully we’re out of that now. "
