" It was fantastic, a great work ethic from all the boys, that's what the gaffer wants from us so we just go out there and give it our all. I don't know about the Paul Heffernan save being a "worldie", but it's great for my confidence after last week against Sunderland when my performance wasn't up to scratch and I was very disappointed with myself. So to do that so early on in the game set me off on the right tee.
" (Peter Murphy and Kevin Gray) were outstanding at the back as you can see from the clean sheet, they were fantastic. We've got great players in our side and it's not just about the goalkeeper and the two centre-halves, it's about us defending from the front and attacking from the back, so all-in-all we're a good team. It's a great three points to start with, we came up from League Two last year as champions and everybody will have been looking at our result today to see how we did. So to keep a clean sheet and get a 1-0 win is fantastic, against a team like Doncaster who are a very good side.
" I was beating myself up last week, but that's just me in general, if I do something that's not up to my standard then I won't be happy with myself until I put in a better performance like I did today. I got a little fingertip on (Bruce) Dyer's effort and luckily it just went over, he didn't say anything to me although he tried to do me in the first half, but he got himself booked, I don't really join in with all that sort of stuff.
" We go to Chesterfield in great heart but we take each game as it comes, Chesterfield have got a great result today away at Bournemouth so they are all going to be tough games from the start today all the way to end of the season and Scunthorpe away. We've just got to keep battling and just try and keep picking up points. "
