"Yes it was good, but it doesn't really matter as we lost the game, and that's the main thing. I wanted to come here and prove to people that I was still good enough. I had to move on and these things happen in football, and I recognise that now.
"But yes it was great to come back here and score, but we didn't win and we didn't pick up any points and that's the disappointing thing to come out of the day. It's just one of those things that just happens. To be honest I didn't really want to celebrate before the game. I always said that if I scored I was not going to celebrate, but it just happened.
"I enjoyed playing. I thought that we played quite well. I think that we were the better of the two teams and created plenty of chances, but we gave away two goals in the first half and if you do that in this league you're going to lose. The lads were disappointed and gutted because we've lost.
"I'm happy for the Yeovil lads because I think they battled well and defended well. And with Skivo (Terry Skiverton), he's a rock solid defender. He's so consistent every week. If I had the choice, he'd be in my team every week. Yes I've got great mates here, but like I said, it went out the window a bit today because it was really just another game.
"It was nice to come back and say thanks to the fans at the end of the game, because I didn't get the chance at the end of last season. I didn't come on in that last game. Probably I knew I was going to be leaving then, so it would have been nice to have said thanks, but I didn't get the chance. But it was nice to say thanks today."
