United skipper Kevin Gray spoke exclusively to BBC Radio Cumbria on Saturday evening as he talked about the comeback home win over Welsh side Wrexham :

" On my goal the ball just came into the box and I know I got a decent header on it and it hit the bar. Whether it bounced down, I didn’t think it had bounced over the line, but next thing I knew is that we were all celebrating. I didn’t really know much about it if I’m perfectly honest.

" We started OK, we weren’t quite as positive as we could have been all over the park, but we created one or two chances. I thought we were going to go on and win the game from there.

" We reacted to the penalty from our point of view with a little bit of disbelief. I was right alongside Lummy (Chris Lumsdon) when he made the tackle and I thought he did get something on the ball. The referee perhaps couldn’t see that very clearly so he deemed it a penalty.

" I think justice was done, to be honest with you I didn’t think either of them were penalties but whether the referee had it in his time that he was going to even it up or not I don’t know. You just don’t know what they are thinking sometimes but at the end of it I think we deserved the three points.

" Right the way through we have got a tremendous team spirit at the moment, we’ve got a lot of belief in each other, not only the lads that are playing on the Saturday or a Tuesday or whatever it is but the lads that are waiting for their chance.

" We’ve got a hectic schedule coming up now and I would imagine that the majority of the players will be used at one stage or another. Everybody is together and as I’ve said before we’ve got a great belief.

" If you get left out you might not get back in but these things happen. Every professional likes to play football but as long as the club is doing well that is the main thing.

" Tranmere should be interesting. I wouldn’t imagine I’ll get such a warm reception but it should be an interesting game because we are doing OK, they are in a League above us but they are in and out I think this season. It should be a good test for us.

" Obviously we are just focusing on the next game first as far as the LDV is concerned. I think ultimately the League is most important for us whatever anyone says. It would be nice though to go as far as we can in that Cup competition, especially if we can beat Tranmere. "
