Lee BradburyCherries boss Lee Bradbury spoke to BBC Radio Solent after his side's 1-1 League One draw at home to Carlisle, Bradbury saying getting a point after five straight defeats was a mixture of pleasure and relief :

"A bit of both, I think we had a good performance today, the lads worked really hard for each other, and it showed I think when we scored the goal how together we were as a group. I thought we worked very hard for each other today and it is really pleasing to see, I was proud of the way they put themselves about today and worked hard for each other.

"We know we have got that unity but everyone else needs to see that I suppose, and that is a positive. Looking at Carlisle's performance it was a very good goal (Lee) Miller scored to put us behind and it was a nightmare start for us really with going 1-0 down so early. But, I thought we showed character and I thought we always looked like scoring a goal.

"We spoke about not conceding an early goal like we did at Sheffield Wednesday all week and make sure that if we conceded a goal we didn't concede another one in quick succession for us to stay in the game. That was the difference today, we did that, we stayed in the game and ended up getting a point.

"The changes I made at half-time ended up being quite significant, I thought Jayden (Stockley) did very well, he gave us an out ball, held the ball up and worked quite well with Wes Thomas, and with Scotty (Malone) coming on with his pace against the full-back as well he caused them a few problems and pushed them back a little bit.

"Crosses in the box, obviously with Jayden on the pitch I thought they were a little bit weak in that area, we looked at that and tried to expose that a little bit. Also with the long throws, we have found a couple of long throws in the last couple of weeks and they have caused problems, today I thought we did that very well.

"I think there are a lot of positives there, I think we have played some alright football but we have mixed the game up, we have done what we had to do to get a point out of the game or try to get a result out of the game. I think that is the sign of a good team, you can't always play great football, you have got to know when to mix it up, when to turn them and get in behind them, when to cross the ball and when to play, and I think we had that mix today.

"I want us to be a good footballing team but at the end of the day I want us to win games and I want us to get results. If we have got to mix it up to get that at this moment in time then we will do that, but we have got to comfortable dong both. I just feel that outside the football club there are some people who don't want to make it easy for us. So, I know, like I said, how tight we are as a group, staff and the board and everyone and even the fans.

"They were great today the fans, got right behind us and pushed the lads on and that made a massive difference I think. I don't wan't that to be broken, we are a tight club, we are a proud club and that will remain the same all the time I am in charge."
