United striker Lee Miller (LM) spoke to BBC Radio Cumbria's Paul Newton (PN) at Friday's press conference for the local media, Miller first talking about recovering from his recent groin injury :
LM
I feel good, obviously it is in the back of my head a little bit, but it is just one of those things, you just get on with it. Hopefully I can come through with flying colours, I have been training kind of off and on all week so it has been good, it feels good just now so hopefully I will be OK for Saturday.
PN
It has been a great start to your Carlisle career, has that exceeded your expectations?
LM
Yeah, obviously strikers want to score as many goals as they can and it is a confidence thing and I got off to the best possible start scoring two goals on my debut, which was brilliant, and I just went from there really. But, every striker, at the end of the day the chances are being created for us, we just need to put them away and hopefully we can do that and keep our run going.
PN
Has the move to Carlisle from Middlesbrough given you a new lease of life?
LM
Yeah, it has, obviously the manager (Greg Abbott) has shown a lot of faith in me, and I have been repaying him with goals and hopefully I can keep doing that. But, it is a great bunch of lads here, we have got a really good squad, a tight knit squad as well so hopefully we can get further up that league and be challenging.
PN
From what you have seen of the division so far do you think the team is capable of that?
LM
Yeah, I think so definitely, when I played against Carlisle when I was at Middlesbrough pre-season they were brilliant, they played us off the park, so we just need to try to recapture that playing and fighting spirit.
