Ex-Norwich man Andrew Hughes spoke to the Yorkshire Evening Post and the Leeds United official website about his side's 3-1 defeat at Brunton Park, Hughes talking about the need for the players to regroup and come back strong at Bournemouth tomorrow evening :

"We dominated the first half, but in the second half they were sharper than us and we didn't do our job properly. To say we're disappointed is an understatement, we're absolutely fuming. We let ourselves down. We didn't start in the second half, and that's what you get when you don't do your job.

"As a team it wasn't good enough. It's horrible getting beat, everyone was fuming. We're in a horrible situation, and we want to win every game. We went there to win on Saturday, not draw and not get beat. We've got to get every point we can, and the only way we will do it is by winning. I don't look at other teams. I look at us, and we had chances, and we played well first half.

"I have to say the supporters were terrific though, they stayed with us. We're all in it together here, us and the fans, win lose or draw. We have to scrape away, inch by inch. It wasn't a good weekend, but we have a game Tuesday and can't get there quick enough.

"It's going to be massive, they're struggling near the bottom, but maybe they're in a false position. We need to get a result. We've got a big week now, we've got Bournemouth then the FA Cup. First, it's Bournemouth away on Tuesday night and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. We've got to grind away and go at it again.

"What we've done at this club over the last few months is very good, and we're proud of it. We're all gutted by the defeat and we'll beat ourselves up. If you don't do that when you lose games then there's something seriously wrong. We're not happy. But the best thing is we've got a game (tomorrow). We're going there for a hell of a battle. They're fighting for their lives and we have to get a result.

"The players are very down about this result but only because we're hungry and driven. You have to be like that at this club, especially considering the situation we're in. A lot of people will be pleased about this result, and that's why we have to stick together - as a city and as a team - and go again. We've lost a big game at Carlisle, but we've got another one waiting for us at Bournemouth."
